Hunters that grow up around parents, other family members and friends that enjoy hunting, understand the excitement of going out there to make great memories, whether they are hunting whitetail deer in Alabama and other southeastern states or whether it is one of the wing-shooting disciplines that is their preference.

Landowners know they compete for the hunters’ business; therefore leading hunting destinations make sure they offer their visitors an outstanding experience, one which they are likely to repeat in the future.

Not every hunter or group of hunters has their own land, or knows who to approach when they are ready for the season. That is why the hunting club has become so popular in the Southeast and elsewhere in the U.S. as a means of introduction. Clubs offer membership to hunters and allow so many hunters to partake in a passion shared by many Americans. It is true that some hunters know where and how to search for a good lease; however, many turn to the hunting club. So where does one find a hunting club that meets all one’s requirements?

Hunting clubs advertise membership opportunities, ...
... as do wildlife management companies, whether you want to hunt in the Southeast in a state such as Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi or elsewhere. Good management services such as, for example, Tuscaloosa, AL based Westervelt Wildlife manage several hunting clubs in the states where they make their services available. This is a service they undertake on behalf of landowners that offer hunting leases to the public. For the hunter it is an easy way to find a good lease: approach a good management company with a solid reputation for delivering.

The good ones know the landowners and what they have to offer so that they are able to advertise those leases that will offer hunters an experience they would like to remember. Many hunters that approach a management company for the first time and learn about these clubs and the membership they offer, actually take up the opportunity to become members if membership is offered to them. There are several reasons why one would consider such membership.

An example of the benefits of belonging to such a club include the camaraderie and friendships that develop among the members. Also, as a club you are much more likely to negotiate a better fee structure for the lease with the landowner, as well as being able to negotiate other advantageous benefits than the individual on their own is able to do. A management company is actually the ideal go-between to ensure both landowner and hunter is happy. That is why hunting clubs are often managed well.

Good clubs will be organized to include their own constitution, rules and regulations that apply to all members, duties of members such as helping to improve forest stands and making sure food plots are planted, for example. Any good club needs to be managed in a way that benefits all of the members.

That is why the following aspects, among some, will always play an important part: name of the club; objectives such as a memorable experience for all within rules that govern responsible behavior; who, and on what basis, one qualifies for membership; meetings, either physical or via Skype and other technologies; bylaws that regulate the activities of the club and amendments from time to time.

Few members have the knowledge or experience to do all of this on their own. That is why the services of a good management company are important. Everybody benefits: the landlord knows they will receive an income which is administered by a management service, and the hunter knows that they can rely on the strength of a club for the ultimate enjoyment of their outing.
