If you are still mesmerized with the Beverley Hills effect, then there is one face that deserves a lion share of the credit. It is none other than Jennie Garth. Born in April 1972, this pretty face is basically from Illinois. Jennie was brought up with six siblings. During her childhood she took up dance classes. Along with this she used to do modeling as well. This led to her selection for a talent hunt show. This talent show opened the doors of Hollywood for her as she was spotted by Randy James, a Talent Manager from Hollywood.

Jennie continued to appear for auditions and also attended acting classes to brighten her chances of entry to Hollywood. Her struggles were paid off when she got her break with A Brand New Life as Erica McCray. Although this show lasted for only a few episodes, her potential as an actress was noticed and well appreciated. Her role as Denise in Growing Pains also went on well. 1990 proved to be a year of success for Jennie as she bagged the role of Kelly Taylor in Beverley Hills. Although this role put her in front of multiple challenges, she passed it all and came out with flying colors. Her personal life was put under the scanner more than once, but nothing could spoil her spirits. She added a special dimension to the character of Kelly Taylor and made it believable. Beverley Hills proved to be a career-defining role for her. This was followed by a string of hits like Star, Falling for you, Without Consent etc.

Not that she was just part of commercial hits like An Unfinished Affair she also played memorable roles in some parallel films like My Brother's War, Telling You etc. where she had to act at par with actors having theatre background. Beverley Hills had much more to give to Jennie as with this serial she got the chance to be behind the camera and direct an episode. This created history as well as she was the first female member of the cast to have directed episodes of this serial. She popularized the character to such an extent that Kelly was made part of almost all the franchise episodes.

Jennie's efforts have never gone unnoticed as she got recognition through various awards like Prism award. She received this award jointly with Andrea Bowen for their powerful performances in Desperate Housewives. Jennie had played it all. She even appeared in a popular game show Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?. She has donated the amount that she won for a charitable cause named American Heart Association.

Jennie's personal life, however, had been distraught with multiple affairs. Her brief first marriage with Daniel B. Clark left her lonely and distressed. However, she met fellow actor Peter Facinelli on the sets of An Unfinished Affair and immediately hit it off. The couple married in 2001 after Jennie converted to Catholicism. They are blessed with three daughters and seem to be doing fine. And Jennie with her new found love in Peter and his daughters have been more active in displaying her talents. Good luck, Jennie.
