Get Information On Type 1 Diabetes Research Samples

What is type 1 diabetes mellitus?
Diabetes mellites is a chronic disease commonly known as 'sugar disease' familiar to all of us. It is a chronic condition manifested by increased blood sugar levels (hyperglycaemia). It is caused by a multitude of factors. Also, genetic factors play an important role in developing diabetes mellitus. Based on origin, causes, and onset, Diabetes mellitus is divided into type 2 diabetes mellitus, type 1 diabetes mellitus, pre-diabetes and gestational diabetes.
Type 1 diabetes mellitus is a childhood-onset illness caused by the lack of insulin production in the body to convert glucose into energy. It occurs mainly due to destroying pancreatic cells responsible for insulin synthesis. Therefore, there is a lack of adequate insulin levels or no insulin for good glucose metabolism in the body. Uncontrolled blood sugar levels can cause serious complications affecting other body organs.
Can Type 1 diabetes mellitus be cured?
Type 1 diabetes mellitus is a lifelong disease for which there is no cure. However, timely diagnosis and continual therapy can control the symptoms of ...
... the disease. Also, it helps in gaining adequate glycemic control. Since it is caused by a genetic abnormality or autoimmune causes, the patient must take insulin injections daily in defined doses to control blood sugar levels. Also, sometimes oral hypoglycaemic drugs are initiated as an adjuvants therapy. Unlike type 2 diabetes, type 1 diabetes develops at an early age. Therefore, it is also known as juvenile diabetes. However, the patients experience similar symptoms of type 2 diabetes.
