The COVID-19 tests market size was valued at $49.37 billion in 2021. Currently, the standard of test for diagnosing COVID-19 is reverse transcriptase (RT)-PCR which is used globally due to its flexibility in price, widespread installed base of capital equipment, ease of throughput, and ability to scale up.
