2010 Fifa World Cup South Africa Is Underway
The world football fans will be excited about the FIFA World Cup 2010, which kicks off on June, 11, Friday and scheduled to conclude on July, 12, 2010 in South Africa. This is the first time for African countries to host World Cup and can be as a huge leap for the African football.
2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa is the 19th World Cup. 32 teams join it and 64 totally matches to decide the champion are held. In addition, there are 9 cities and ten Stadium of South Africa are chose to host this big sport party as follows:
Johannesburg(Soccer City and Ellis Park Stadium), Cape Town (Green Point Stadium), Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium Port, Polokwane(Peter Mokaba Stadium), Rustenburg(Royal Bafokeng Stadium), Pretoria(Loftus Versfeld Stadium), Durban (Moses Mabhida Stadium), Bloemfontein (Free State Stadium), Nelspruit(Mbombela Stadium).
The World Cup South Africa made a draw and ensured the group schedule on 5th, Dec. 2009. Eight Groups are divided in this World Cup and they are:
Group A: South Afria, Mexico, Uruguay, France
Group B: Argentina, Greece,Nigeria, Korea Republic
Group C: England, ...
... United States, Algeria, Slovenia
Group D: Germany, Australia, Serbia, Ghana
Group E: Netherlands, Denmark, Japan, Cameroon
Group F: Italy, Paraguay, New Zealand, Slovakia
Group G: Brazil, North Korea, Ivory Coast, Portugal
Group H: Spain, Switzerland, Honduras, Chile
The first match is South Africa VS Mexico at 10:00 am EDT in Soccer City of Johannesburg. The second match is Uruguay VS France which held at 2:30 pm EDT in Green Point Stadium of Cape Town.
Football has already fanatics around the globe and the world fans are all set to soak in the World Cup fever. Bar owners, managers of electronics stores as well as beer dealers can't wait to welcome money-splashing customers as the most watched sporting event in the world takes off. The world has prepared to wait for its coming and wants to enjoy this sumptuous banquet. This World Cup will be an exciting and leave big impression to people.
