When it is the best time to get 4D Ultrasound is the question that I hear more than any other. And I give an easy answer to both my business clients and studio clients, although it is worded differently, it has the same meaning.

If I am speaking to a potential studio owner, I tell them the best time is as soon as possible. Get your clients to do a baby gender scan ultrasound when they do their gender determination. After this, most of the clients get hooked and want to return for more. If you are charged properly and offer an excellent service, you will frequently have your clients return across 21-24 weeks to see the growth changes, and then 28-32 weeks to get the optimal 3D/4D photos.

The same is applicable when you speak to the end customer. Seeing the baby through Gender peek ultrasound is frequently alien like but it is still their baby and parents will love and value seeing their baby at this stage. At 15-19 weeks, you are still able to see the complete body of the baby. As the baby grows, you become restricted on the part of the baby that you can see. ...
... At 21-24 weeks, the baby is just starting to create their fat and their complete facial features. This is still an excellent time to see the growth progress of the little one. When you start approaching 28-32 weeks, the client will be able to typically see their baby in the 3D images that we are all used to seeing online and in magazines.

With that being said, the body type of the mother and the positioning of the baby also plays a role when you can get the best images. If a client will come once in a while, generally the best time to come will be 28-30 weeks. As the baby approaches more than 30 weeks, the baby starts rolling low on room and fluid, one runs the hazard of having the baby smashed or without sufficient fluid in front of their face, and hence you will not be able to get the optimal images that most clients are used to.

Unfortunately, many insurance companies won’t pay for this process. This can be a true pain but it is truly worth the additional money to get this done.

Having a 4D ultrasound was one of the best things that you can imagine, and one of the best experiences of my pregnancy. I hope that you and several other people will get to experience this magical period and will take home a treasure that will always remain with you. If you are interested, you can speak to your physician and figure out if getting this done is the ideal thing for you.
