Education plays a vital role in every aspect of our lives. It enables us to achieve our aspirations and lead a better life. In a larger perspective, it directly contributes to the socio-economic landscape of the country, upholding equality and prosperity of all. We all value education, but the real significance of education is best understood by those who either missed the opportunity to receive it, or who struggles to receive it, or those who had to drop out midway. There are lakhs of meritorious and skilled adults who are settling for less, simply because they had to discontinue their education due to financial constraints. To support students hailing from financially weaker backgrounds, charitable organisations give us opportunity to donate fund for education.

Scholarship for higher education
Several charitable organisations have initiated education scholarship programmes for students from socio-economically weaker sections. By contributing donations towards these organisations, we can help meritorious students pursue their preferred stream of studies. The type of scholarships varies from one NGO to another. ...

Here we will look at Vidya Chetana Scholarship Program. This programme is an initiative of Youth for Seva, an NGO in India promoting volunteering among youth to serve the society. Vidya Chetana Scholarship Program supports higher education of meritorious students who hail from financially weak backgrounds, and more recently it has begun supporting students who lost their parents during COVID-19 pandemic. In the past 12 years, this scholarship programme has supported education of 5,775 students in 10 States of India with the help of 1,375 generous donors. Presently, it is seeking support from more generous donors to fund education of 1,500 students. By contributing online donation for education and supporting Vidya Chetana, we can help students who are pursuing and who wants to pursue PUC (10+2), Degree, Engineering or Medical Courses.
