Swimwear Essential Looks

Most of the time we try our hardest to cover up our bodies to make us look as slim as possible. But come summer, we strip down to what are effectively waterproof undies and bear all for a beach full of people to see. Unless you have a body like Gisele Bundchen or Halle Berry, this is pretty daunting.
Due to the nature of bikinis there is very little material to hide under. We have to make the most of the bits we do like, and reshape the bits that are just okay with less than a metre of fabric.
If you have left your summer shape-up plan to the last minute and are a little worried about getting into your summer swimwear and hitting the beach, don''t resort to sarongs and shorts just yet.
Just like with dresses and jeans, there is swimwear to suit every style, shape and size. If you aren''t sure what will work best for you and need some help making the right decision, read on.
Most British women have a ''pear-shaped'' figure, i.e. we are bigger on the bottom than on the top. Mis-matched bikinis are one of the best ways to deal with this issue. Dark bottoms will slim down larger hips and thighs; tie straps ...
... on the side will prevent too much love spilling out of your love handles and when paired with a brightly coloured top, people will be looking at your top half not your bottom half.
Triangle shaped, moulded and padded bikini tops with horizontal stripes create size and shape in the bra department. Patterns add contours and definition too.
If you lack any real shape, your hips are thin and you don''t have much of a waste or boobs to speak of then this year''s take on the one piece is ideal. Use Cheryl Cole as an example. Her tiny frame was given some hourglass treatment when she donned the monokini or cut-out one piece. This style is somewhere between a one piece with cut-out panels around the waste to a two-piece joined up in the middle over the stomach.
If you are larger than Cheryl a style that is more of a cut-out one piece is more appropriate. The missing panels around the sides mean you won''t reveal too much stomach and you will look more toned and sleek without doing a single sit-up. These key womens footwear trends for 2010 were brought to you by Barton Loi. She recommends heading to the New Look website for the latest swimwear Summer 2010.
