A basis of the cluster in personality disorder is an attachment disorder due to the absence of object permanence. In less scientific words, the young kid was neglected/exploited/traumatized at a quite young age, say around 4, and didn't learn that their prime caregiver could be trusted to cater for their necessities. They become traumatized, thinking their requirements won't be met, that they can't communicate their requirements and that the world is a scary and threatening place.

They think their real self has been devalued and expelled (which, tragically, it has been) and that, as they are, they are unlovable and without value or useless. They are packed with humiliation, because, tragically, they recognize their dismissal from the inadequate caregiver as being their guilt. After all, there’s something wrong with them.

... if they can't get what they need from others by being themselves, they'll create a persona that can get what they need. They learn passive-aggressive techniques at an early age and become masters at manipulating others.

They become emotionally stunted at the age of their trauma, incapable to encounter more mature sentiments, such as recognition, guilt, empathy, or impartial love. Humiliation is absolute anathema, a terror that needs to be driven away as far as possible by prominence or gaslighting as aggressively and instantly as possible. This reveals their failure to apologize, or not be right in concerns to their beliefs or perceived necessities.

They see everything in black and white. They are either entirely happy or totally unhappy. There's neither in-between, relaxed, balanced state, where everything is just natural.

They can’t understand others as separate from themselves having different requirements, emotions, and desires, and thus they don't mind, and are incapable of care, about others in a mature, indifferent, generous way. Victims usually confuse themselves believing that if only the person with the personality disorder could be well cared for or cherished they could recover, but the dilemma is the reality of people with personality disorders is fundamentally distinct, and cannot be modified by being embraced.

What above mentioned things refers to all the group of personality disorders, of which there are four:

● Borderline personality disorder
● Narcissistic personality disorder
● Antisocial personality disorder
● Histrionic personality disorder

The solidarity of the structure of the self. That is, the borderline has the least developed self, and the histrionic the most.

The borderline is characterized by an extreme fear of abandonment, the narcissist by the grandiose self, and there are other differentials as you analyze each one. There are also comorbidities, where people have symptoms across different disorders, which isn’t surprising since the human mind is far too complex to put in a nice neat box.
