Emphasis of cricket equipment may be different with a batsman and a fielder. A batsman may carry a ball, bat, gloves, pads, protective guards etc. You may find more of protective guards in case of a fielder or wicket keeper. A fielder will require pads, wicket keeper gloves are larger and have little padding to protect hands from any kind of friction. These gloves are usually slender when compared to the batsmen's gloves.

It is up to the player what equipments he would like to carry which he would find essential. He will definitely require certain things such as a bat which is made of willow wood and has a handle which is cylindrical in shape and a smooth surface for comfortable handle grip. The size and cuts of the bat should adhere to the national sports law. It was used at the time when bowling through round-arm has become the slandered rather than the exemption. Willow is the same wood whose woof residue has been advertised during the olden times like a medicine used for fever. Willow is very famous wood and this is known for its toughness and lightweight. Willow is a kind of wood that does not decompose or chip simply ...
... and this is the reason this particular wood is being used to make cricket bat.

Similarly, cricket stumps must adhere to the international standards in its length and width. Premium quality of wood is used in the manufacturing process to offer durability factor to the stumps. A base of cork, seam and a leather exterior is used in a cricket ball. It can either be of red or white in colour.
A fielder will require a leg guard in order to safeguard his shin and knees as he is close to the batting area and is more vulnerable to injury. This is compulsorily required by a fielder who is susceptible. Next protective gear is the helmet, cap or hat which can be used out of choice. However, it is advisable in order to protect one self from the scorching sun.

Gloves of a batsmen is more padded and compact in comparison to the fielder's gloves. Shoes must be spiked in order to run on the grass with good grip and spikes allow for traction. Another variety of shoe that can be used for the better traction is the sneaker type. You are free to choose any of the above varieties.
