In their Chicago apartment in 1930, Luther Replogle and his wife, Elizabeth, began assembling the first globes. This was a very bold move at a time when the US would be plunged into the great depression. The aim, despite the economic difficulties of the time, was to put a Replogle globe in every home.

Since then, Replogle Globes has become the world's leading globe manufacturer. It is still based in Chicago, housed in a 260,000 square foot facility, where few things haven't changed since 1930. A hand crafted Replogle globe can be found in the offices of presidents and dignitaries, as well as school classrooms and households. The magic of a Replogle globe has not disappeared.
