Since time immemorial, ancient men and women have always taken care in making sure they present themselves well with what they wear. From necklaces made of animal bones to hair pieces stringed with precious stones, the primitive as well as the modern man has always taken their looks to then next level by always looking their best by flaunting their unique jewelry pieces and style.

However, being unique always comes with a price. The more unique a certain stone or jewelry piece is, the more cash you end up spending. It is only natural that fine-jewelry owners will prefer to put their valuables in a safe place when they're not using them because each piece of jewelry was acquired with a high price tag. To keep your jewelry safe, it's recommended that you use jewelry chests, armoires, or jewelry boxes.

One of the most popular ways of keeping your jewelry safe and in prime condition is to stow your jewelry away in a jewelry armoire. Originally, armoires were used to represent a cabinet or storage for guns but they have come a long way since then. Not only can you use it to hold your jewelry and other small trinkets, ...
... with the right design, it is a great addition to your furniture collection.

If you're in the market for a jewelry armoire, first you need to decide which is better - a wooden chest, a non-wooden one, or one made with imitation wood. Your choice will depend mainly on your budget and secondly on the design. How big do you want it? How much space are you working with? What color or grain of wood were you interested in?

Unlike jewelry boxes, armoires are free-standing. This means you also need to consider how much space is available in your room. An ornate jewelry armoire is well suited for spacious rooms, while the simple French country style chest looks more charming in smaller spaces. You not only need to think about space, but you need to think about everything else in the room and how the new armoire will fit in.

Lastly, you should also consider how your new armoire will be used. Is the sole purpose of this armoire to serve as a big jewelry box? If that's the case, a lot of people recommend a tall jewelry chest with a number of drawers. Another big recommendation from lots of jewelry lovers would be to go for the bulkier piece of furniture that comes complete with a full vanity mirror and cushioned set. The biggest convenience that comes with this type of furniture would be that everything in one place. No need to run around the room before a night out on the town.
