Weight Loss Challenge Inspires Charles Place Apartments, Providence, Ri Residents

The goal of the Charles Place Apartments, located at 460 Charles Street in the heart of Providence, weight loss program is focused on managing diabetes more effectively. Working with Trine Healthcare, a Providence, RI based organization that brings a full slate of healthcare programs to affordable housing tenants, the program has initially helped, on average, to drop A1C levels from 7 to 5. Also, the top weight loss by residents was 14 pounds. Participants in the initial weight loss challenge ranging in ages from 45 to 71.

The program is scheduled to commence again this spring as social distancing measures are reduced.
