Mahendra Singh Dhoni has added another feather to his hat. He has become the first-ever cricketer to earn more than Rs 150 crore in the Indian Premier League (IPL). The Chennai Super Kings' (CSK) captain had earned over Rs 137 crore before the IPL 2020 retention day. The moment Dhoni extended his contract with CSK, he created history.

The captain cool who has been leading the Whistle Podu team since IPL 2008, has a salary of Rs 15 crore/season in today's date. He has been receiving the same amount since IPL 2018. Reportedly, MS Dhoni was the biggest player in the 2008 auction. CSK had bought him for Rs 6 crore and had earned the same amount for the following three years.
In the year 2011, the BCCI increased the first-choice retention price to over Rs 8 crore. Then MS Dhoni received a salary of Rs 8.28 crore from 2011 to 2013. Later during IPL 2014 mega-auction, the BCCI again increased the first-choice retention amount and, he earned a total of Rs 12.5 crore in 2014 and 2015. While he was playing with Rising Pune ...
