Despite the raging demand, HBO Max still hasn’t made its way to Roku, but it has indeed expanded its width by joining the services of two new devices.

Well, HBO Max (Warner Bros.’s new home) is now available on the Xfinity X1 and the Xfinity Flex. However, to the utter dismay of Roku users, the OTT platform has still not made its way to the Roku devices. However, there are an awful lot of cable service providers that will be able to stream the content of HBO Max, and they will do that just in time for the holiday season.

Of course, Wonder Woman 1984 is on its way, and its release will be a historic moment not just for the streaming service but for the entire cinematic community (but it still does not have a lot of supporters).

HBO Max was launched in May of this year, and it has continuously been in the news since then (and not always for the ...
... right reasons). One of the major criticisms the streaming platform has drawn is the fact that its roll-out has been hampered by its absence from the major devices of Roku and Amazon Fire TV’s list of available apps.

The two fledgling companies had an agreement with Warner Media to stream HBO cable apps, and the companies were already making so much profit that they were unwilling to add another dimension to the concluded negotiation and that too for a platform that had just come out of its wombs. Nevertheless, the platform has grown in terms of its reach and possesses a spectacular library hosting a wide range of high-quality content. This has been an encouraging sign for the platforms despite its woes regarding partnerships with premium entertainment companies.

Now, the OTT platform has another news to smile for as it has reached the services offered by Xfinity, where it will try to impress its subscribers. The major development has surfaced courtesy of a joint announcement made by Warner Media and Comcast on Tuesday.

Jennifer Mirgorod, who is the head of the Sales and Management department of Warner Media, made a statement in which she said that her teams have been working tirelessly since the inception of the platform to blend the worlds of the platform and of Xfinity X1 and Flex subscribers. Now, she is glad that the work that they put on paid off, and the app has now made its way to the devices.

Recently, the platform and its parent company Warner Media have faced some flak from some of the Hollywood veterans, with the likes of Christopher Nolan, Denis Villeneuve, and Patty Jenkins criticizing both of them for jeopardizing the efforts made by other people to save the theater industry.

Nevertheless, the streaming service will make history on Christmas Day when it would release Patty Jenkins’ second Wonder Woman film, “Wonder Woman 1984,” starring Gal Gadot. HBO Max will also be hosting Zack Snyder’s Justice League on September the 5th of next year.
