The Los Angeles Lakers are the number 1 seed in the West and we all anticipated them to be competing in this NBA betting series. The Phoenix Suns, however, are a bit of a surprise and not many NBA betting odds makers predicted this team to advance this far in the NBA betting post season. Yet here they are, due to the inspired play of PG Steve Nash and the team's abruptly searing touch from the perimeter.

This NBA betting series will be an offensive explosion and a delight for buffs of the run and gun method of play. Nash (16.5 ppg, 11.0 apg), at age 34, is still the best in the business when it comes to running a fast break and it's not surprising that he lead the league in assists throughout the NBA betting action. Nash has been brilliant in the post season getting his team past Portland in round one of the basketball betting action and then nearly single handedly defeating San Antonio in an NBA playoff betting sweep in the conference semifinals.

Still, Los Angeles is the powerhouse in the NBA betting odds and will be the toughest opponent the Suns have witnessed all NBA betting postseason. The Los Angeles Lakers ...
... dominate the court and could trounce the Suns in the half court set. With 7-footers Pau Gasol, Andrew Bynum and Lamar Odom all capable of scoring 20+ points per NBA betting odds competition, no team in the league can stop this trifecta.

And Los Angeles also have some guy named Kobe who has some experience winning NBA playoff betting games. The worrisome thing for the Suns is the reality that Bryant averaged over 30 ppg in the last NBA betting odds series against the Jazz, even with the abundance of low-post riches that the defending champs have.

Simply put, it appears Los Angeles could batter the Suns to death with a steady diet of post up offense. But the Phoenix Suns have been shooting the lights out lately and Nash should be able to get plenty of penetration against a slow-footed Derek Fischer. If the Suns can shoot well from the outside, look for the Suns to steal Game 1 of the basketball action in the Big Stapler.
