Getting into fitness is no easy task - replacing your samosas and chips for protein rich snacks, and getting up early every morning to exercise can be quite draining in the first few days. However, following some dos and don’ts in the first few months will make sure that you feel the results at the earliest possible, thereby motivating you to do better and stick to the newfound routine.

The first thing you must do is to empty your storeroom of all the fried snacks. Stop consuming your junk fast food immediately, and try the healthier versions of the same food if you must have them. You will feel a bit deprived, and it may affect your mood, but it will help you if you surround yourself with some friends who can encourage you, or even better, are fitness enthusiasts themselves. Afterall, being dedicated to fitness must still feel like misery to you, and misery loves company.

Another tip - always keep a nutrition bar in your bag or purse. That way, every time you are tempted to eat something nice, you can just fish out the bar and start having it. It’s the best way to avoid those extra food binges that we all ...
... go on, and if numbers are to go by, they end up saving you money as well as a few hundred calories as well. Keeping some air fried or baked snacks is also okay, if you are not a sweets person. Keep a small tiffin on you at all times, filled with some baked snacks. Fruits are also a good idea, if you can carry them around without smashing them. In addition to providing you with good calories, they also give you important vitamins and minerals and even fibre! Definitely a win-win by all standards.

The most important thing to do is to keep in mind is to stick to a regular workout routine. Being regular is everything when it comes to getting fit - not only do you train your mind to be motivated for the workout but also has a better effect on your body. Having a professional trainer also helps you a lot. There are many things that can go wrong if you do things incorrectly. Some of them even have long-term consequences. Hence, it is important to take advice from a professional who has considerable experience in the field.

Lastly, let’s talk about cheat days. If you are highly motivated, you may feel pumped up enough to skip cheat days. However, in the long run, having a workout protein bar may not be your best option every day. Treat yourself every now and then to make sure that your body stays happy and healthy, and your mind is motivated at all times.
