WHAT IS NOT A ROAD HAZARD:
Defects from bad materials or workmanship
Current manufacturers’ warranties cover tires that become unusable for any reason within the tire manufacturer’s control, typically covering materials and workmanship. Some examples of this would be belt separation, tread separation and out-of-round.
This type of damage IS covered by the manufacturer’s warranty program, however, this damage is not considered a road hazard. Therefore, this damage is not covered by our road hazard protection program because it is within the manufacturer's control.
Curb Damage
Damage caused by curbs is NOT covered by Road Hazard Warranty, as curbs are not a road hazard.
Other Damages
Damage that is not considered road hazard, include damage caused by fire, vandalism, theft, accident, off-road use, improper inflation or improper installation of tires. None of these are covered by Autoshield’s Road Hazard protection program.
For more information about what is and what is not covered by our road hazard protection program, please see the complete terms and conditions for the program. If you have further questions, please contact the program administrator by calling the toll-free number that is listed in the Terms & Conditions.
