Every day is the day to ponder over the extra hair of your comb and the prominently receding hairline, congratulations on making the right decision and landing on the page of Best Hair Transplant Clinics Bangalore.

Now, before proving why our claim is correct, allow us to just take you through some information which you would like to have before deciding on a Hair Transplant surgery.

What Is Hair Transplant?

A hair transplant is a surgical technique that is used to move the hair follicles from one part of the body (usually called the donor site) to a different part of the body called the recipient site. Other hair transplantation services are usually done to hide the bald patches on the head, hide the wounds in the face and surrounding area because of injuries or procedures, eyebrow repair, eyelashes, beard hair, chest hair, and pubic hair.

Knowing the Techniques

The most common techniques for a Hair transplant include Follicular Unit Transplant (FUT) and Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE).

FUT includes removing 6-10-inch skin strips ...
... (hair follicles from the donor zone) from the back of the head, which are then divided into single grafts or a bunch of hair. The quantity of grafts usually depends on the intensity of the quantity of the bald patch.

But in FUE, the surgeon shaves the back of the head and removes follicles one by one (harvests). The procedure of planting the graft is the same after this for both the techniques.

Regardless of the harvesting technique (a technique to remove hair follicles from the donor area) used for hair transplantation, the most important thing is that the hair follicles are properly extracted. Since the hair follicles grow at an angle to the surface, therefore the transplanted tissue must even be removed like that angle. It’s due to this reason that getting the hair transplant done by an expert is of paramount importance for the success of the method.

Though FUE is relatively expensive and time-consuming as compared to FUT yet it's preferred because first, unlike FUT, the no-stitch mark is left on the scalp as no skin is removed intrinsically. The results obtained are also more natural, and the postoperative recovery is usually more rapid.

However, there is another modern and advanced hair implantation technique called Direct Hair Transplant. The advantage that this system has over the other two is that it doesn't require reception incision or making holes on the receptor surface. The hair follicles are implanted directly at the receptor site with the help of a patented DHI implanter tool.

The sittings and sitting duration for any of the three techniques depends on the extent of baldness or hair thinning on the affected area.

The Side Effects

Although hair transplantation has no major side effects, our body reacts to the transplant in a few ways.

• Temporary thinning of permanent hair: The transplanted hair will fall out within 2 to 3 weeks of the transplant. But this is often completely natural and the re-growth starts immediately. Nearly 60 percent of them will regrow within the next 6 to 9 months

• Pain: Pain is sometimes minimal and most patients don't require any medication. However, for the few who experience any quite pain, regular medications are sufficient.

• Itching: The scalp is tender after the transplant and a few amounts of the itch are common but it always lasts for less than a week. Shampooing regularly can help contain it.

• Mild swelling: there's rarely any swelling but some patients complain of mild swelling for the initial 1 or 2 days which subsides on its own.

• Cysts: Though less than 2 or 3 mm in size, some patients experience cyst development because of transplantation of several grafts at one location. The cysts also like all other symptoms subside on their own within a couple of weeks only.
