An initial evaluation is crucial for determining your needs. Novum Psychiatry uses a structured interview to evaluate the needs of each patient and how we may best help them. While the initial evaluation sets up the direction for the first counseling, it is an ongoing piece of the treatment. It is crucial to be honest and open during this evaluation. If you are having confidentiality issues, please speak to your assessor. As a counselor and a patient learn more about each other, a re-evaluation or change in the path may be needed.
