Rheumatoid Arthritis is featured by small joint pains, swelling, redness, temperature, sense of fever and malaise, loss of appetite, poor bowl habit etc. The joint pain may be shifting in nature. Mostly younger people are affected by rheumatoid arthritis.

Rheumatoid Arthritis can be compared with Vata rakta and Amma Vata in Ayurveda. According to Ayurveda wrong food habit and bad lifestyle leads to loss of appetite and indigestion. Subsequently that leads to malformation of tissue like Serum, blood, muscle, fat, bone, bone marrow etc. The malformation of tissue creates empty of void space that gives lodging to Vata (The Air). The nature of Vata is dry, rough, causing distention and pain. When this Vata is exaggerated it affects blood the connective tissue. All together they create rheumatoid arthritis and shift from joint to joints.

Avoid:- Ripe Banana, curd, black gram (Udad/Biri), rajmah, maida, white rice, egg, fish, crab, prawn, under water animals, underground shoot, oily, spicy, chilly, sour taste, chilled ...
... food and drink, air exposure, chill atmosphere, day sleep, over eating, frequent eating, eating followed by immediate sleep etc.

Advice: - Boiled brown rice, green gram (mung dal), drum stick, ridge gourd, bitter gourd, potala (parval), dinner at 7 pm, bed 2 hours after dinner, etc.
