They are strong advocates of the TRUST programme, an initiative by the Consumers Association of Singapore (CASE), which was set up in 2015 after the spate of sudden spa closures which left many spa-goers unable to redeem the balance of their pre-paid packages. Bonafides worked closely with the relevant authorities to ensure the success of this programme so as to always safeguard a client’s interest in a volatile and competitive industry. When a famous spa chain closed down, Bonafides even went on a ‘Rescue Mission’, offering to serve the balance of the affected clients’ packages with no strings attached.
Bonafides(pronounced ‘Boh-nuh-fee-day’)as translated from Latin, means ‘good faith’. Since its inception in 1989, true to its namesake, this home-grown spa chain has aimed to always maintain sincerity and honesty to its clients. From its humble beginnings at a shophouse in Ang Mo Kio, it has expanded its operations to include outlets at Bukit Merah Central, Hougang and Parkway Parade.
