Our role model, our leader and the person who has always been by our side through any sort of tough time that we face is our mother. Since the day we are born she has always been there for us and done everything for us when we were incapable of doing so. She changed our diapers, taught us how to walk, taught us how to talk and stuffed us till our belly was full. Nothing we can ever do is enough to pay her back and this is something one understands once they become a parent themselves.
Mother's Day is celebrated with great heart and soul in China on the second Sunday of the month of May every year. It has become increasingly popular over the years, but the way of celebrating it has changed. In 1997, carnations were the main flowers in China that were used and Mother's Day was used to basically help poor mothers. Lilies became the official flowers in China as that is what mothers planted in ancient times when their children left their homes. This special day is all about celebrating time with your mothers and expressing gratitude and love towards them.
