Amusement rides top the list when it comes to fun activities. Not only kids, but grown-ups are also as crazy about stimulator and splash rides. With an increasing number of amusement parks, cases of ride injuries are also going up. Over the past few years, a shocking increase in injured cases has been recorded.

Although park operators are introducing adequate measures to avoid accidents, it is imperative for public to take some precautions. We give you some tips to ensure that you stay safe on your next trip to an amusement park.

Follow The Instructions

You will find instructions on all the amusement rides. Read the instructions carefully before getting on the ride. There are special warnings for aged, injured people, and pregnant women. Also, there are a few rides where people shorter than five feet or taller than six feet are not allowed. Many people use lifts and other tricks to make kids look taller. Don't risk your kid's life for a few moments of pleasure. Obese people and those suffering from high blood pressure should avoid twisty and super-fast rides. If you are not able to understand any instructions, ...
... ask the park staff.

Don't Panic

Panicking is one reason why people get injured in amusement rides. Don't stumble or trip over kids. Don't block the way. Staff of amusement park should guide people about this.

Don't Enter Restricted Area

Never access a restricted area in the amusement park. Usually, a warning is displayed by the amusement park at the entrance gates. If your kids enter the restricted areas, call park staff for help.

Drink A Lot Of Water

Many people suffer from dehydration and heatstroke on their trip to amusement parks. Keep a water bottle in your bag. Drinking a little water after short intervals of time, help in preventing heatstroke and dehydration. Keeping yourself hydrated three or four days before your visit is always better. Despite water being the best fluid, some people prefer sugary drinks to prevent heat-related illness.

Apply Sunscreen Cream

Sunburn is a common problem among travelers. It is advisable to use a waterproof sunscreen. Keep it in your bag so that you can use it after a splash in the water park. Plus, don't forget to put a cap and sunglasses in your bag.

Sit Properly

Keeping balance in the amusement rides is very important. Many people get a headache after roller coaster and twisty rides. Turn towards left when the seat pitches you to the right and keep your chest straight. Don't throw yourself around. Hold the handle tightly and wear the safety belt. It is better to avoid roller coaster and stimulator rides, if you are prone to headaches.

Alert Staff In Case of Emergency

If you find any broken fence or persons entering the restricted area, report to the park staff immediately. Some parks are equipped with emergency alarms. You can raise an alarm in case of fire or other emergency situations.

Although it is the duty of park operators to ensure 100 percent safety of people and reacting instantly in case of emergency, visitors also share equal responsibility. Follow the instructions carefully and guide your kids about all amusement rides. Have a safe trip!
