It can become very difficult and painful to run, but the ache recedes as soon as you stop. ... due to the increase in exercise.
Treatment options for Iliotibial Band Syndrome
Most patients will react well to non-invasive treatment options for IT band syndrome. Physiotherapy and treatment can also help this syndrome. If rest or physiotherapy doesn’t help in this case then injections are the other option. Steroid or Platelet Rich Plasma Therapy (PRP) would give pain relief, and occasionally surgery would be a last alternative to consider if all other possibilities are unsuccessful.

It is a fracture of the top part of the hip bone which is also called as femur bone, and it occurs when there is repeated stress to the bone many times. Typically, a hip stress fracture can occur in a person who runs longer distance and those training for a marathon. In the beginning of this condition there is a small crack, but if left untreated it can ultimately turn to a full fracture of the hip. Orthopaedic assessment is recommended if a hip fracture is suspected. Rest and protection from not lifting up weights, so repetitive activity will need to be stopped. Bed rest will be recommended in cases of severe pain, but surgery will only be recommended for cases when the hip completely breaks or is unstable.
4) Other Stress fractures
The shin bone known as tibia, calf bone which is called as fibula and long bones in the midfoot (foot metatarsals) and other areas in the body which are prone to a large amount of stress when running and ache can become so severe which makes the person to stop running. If you are experiencing pain then seek a specialist for early review. Early treatment can avoid minor fractures from becoming complete fractures – which turns to more prolonged treatment and immobilisation.
5) Shin Splints
Shin splits are also called as periostitis or tibial stress syndrome, which have symptoms like pain along the inner border of the shins and during any physical activity, but often subsides on rest. It is caused by inflammation of the periosteum (the layer immediately adjacent to the bone), which occurs as the muscles trying to pull away from their boned attachments. Shin splints are generally self-limiting and can be managed with rehabilitation or physiotherapy, but it frequently requires MRI scan to confirm and rule out other causes.
