Everybody loves that feeling of crawling into a newly made bed, the soft great smelling sheets and then in the morning we awake feeling wonderful, refreshed, and rejuvenated. That is why we love to travel, to sleep on the luxurious bedding and to have that wonderful feeling. But why travel to get that luxurious feeling when you can have it in your our bedroom night after night with Luxury Bedding!

People all over America are constantly trying to create their own sanctuaries in their homes instead of spending hundreds of dollars on spas, retreats and even travel. People are now redecorating their bedrooms to have that luxurious retreat quality, by using memory foam pillows, pillow top covers for their mattresses, and the use of luxurious lines from the pillow cases to the quilts and blankets.

A great night sleep is always the goal, while millions of Americans suffer from some sort of sleeping disorder ranging from the inability to fall asleep to full blown insomnia. By creating a space that emanates tranquility and luxury, the body is able to reach a level of comfort and sink ...
... into a well deserved rest.

There are a wide range of pillows on the market to allow optimum comfort and help you find the right position to get a great night sleep. There are body pillows, a favorite among pregnant women, allows the person to curl the pillow around their body and between their knees. There are the usual assortments of pillows that have different levels of hardness for your sleeping habits whether you are a side sleeper, a stomach sleeper or a back sleeper. These also come in varying sizes, standard, long and king. Bolsters are usually used for decoration and not sleeping.

Of course, you can get your pillow in different materials: down or goose feather, these can also be filled with a synthetic material in case you are allergic; foam, which is usually a little firmer and much more sanitary; and lastly there is memory foam, while usually the hardest of the pillow types it offers the most support and for most people, the most comfort because it supports your neck and head while you sleep both allowing the muscles to relax and to prevent a stiff neck in the morning.

When it comes to getting your bed linens remember thread count, the higher the thread count the softer the sheets will be and the more luxurious the feeling. There are several layers of bedding starting with the bed skirt- not commonly used as much anymore especially with the increasing interest in platform beds where a bed skirt has no place. Next a lot of people are putting on a hypo-allergenic sheet before the standard fitted sheet. These sheets are designed to cut down on dust mites, bodily fluids getting into the mattress and catching the millions of dead skin cells that fall of in your sleep.

On top of the hypo-allergenic sheet comes the fitted sheet, here is where the thread count really counts this is where most of you body will be touching and where you what the most luxury. Next comes the top sheet, the second most touched piece on the bed so again the thread count is still very important. Next usually comes a light weight blanket and then the quilt, and while these two blankets do not always touch your skin directly do not skimp on the luxuriousness at this point, because your body will come in contact with it and you want the feeling to last.

But don't forget your pillowcases; their thread count should be just as high if not higher. And there are also special cases you can put on your pillow to protect against dust mites, bodily fluids in case you are a drooler so you do not ruin your pillow. These cases are usually zippered shut so when putting them into the nice soft case make sure the zipper goes in first so you don't accidentally scratch yourself in your sleep.

I hope that these tips help anyone reading create their own luxurious retreat in the comfort of their own home and get that sleeping beauty treatment they have all been looking for.
