The Dallas Cowboys are on of the most loved and hated franchises in all of football. They are a professional team that plays in the National Football League and they are currently a part of the Eastern Division. The Dallas Cowboys have been known for their consistency and their ability to flatten their opponents. Over the years they have been one of the most dominant football teams in the NFL. They have won a number of Super Bowls and enjoyed some intense rivalries with teams such as the San Francisco 49ers.

The Cowboys franchise was first created in 1960 as a part of the NFL's expansion efforts. When the team was first created they played in the Northern Conference but have since moved to the East. In 1970, the NFL and AFL merged and the Cowboys were put in the NFC East and have stayed in this division. Over the years the Cowboys have remained a strong presence in their division, winning 21 Division Championships and 10 Conference Championships. They are tied in second place with the San Francisco 49ers for the most super bowl wins by one team with 5. They won the Super Bowl in 1971, 1977, 1992, 1993, and 1995.

Other ...
... franchise records include that fact that the Dallas Cowboys have more consecutive winning seasons than any other football team out there right now with 20. They also have a record for the most Super Bowl appearances with 8, the most NFC Championship Games with 14, the most games in the playoffs with 56 among many others. They have clearly showed their dominance in the league and continue to be great competitors every season.

As far as Stadiums go, the Cowboys first started playing in the Cotton Bowl in 1960, but then moved over to the Texas Stadium in 1971. They have remained there for almost four decades until a brand new stadium was built in 2009. This stadium was the largest indoor stadium yet, and can seat almost 100,000 people. It has an incredible jumbo tron that stretches the entire length of the stadium and is so big that some punters have even hit it on really high kicks. The Cowboys pride themselves in their new Stadium and it has been a venue for other big sporting events such as the NBA all-star festivities.

Even though the Dallas Cowboys have only won five super bowls, they still boast 7 Super Bowl MVP awards. The players that have earned these awards are Chuck Howley, Roger Stauback, Troy Aikman, Larry Brown, Randy White, Harvey Martin, and Emmitt Smith. On top of that, there are also a number of players that have been inducted into the Hall of Fame including Troy Aikman, Tony Dorsett, Bob Lilly, Michael Irvin, Roger Stauback, Randy White, and many others.

The Dallas Cowboys are one of the great teams in the NFL and look to remain a presence in the league for a long time. They are going through a bit of a rebuilding stage right now after releasing Terrell Owens last year and are still looking to Tony Romo to tighten up the offense.
