The outdoor unit, fitted outside the room takes charge of compressing and condensing the air while the indoor unit delivers the cooled air through the cooling coil and cooling fan. Advantage of split type air conditioning is that you don't have to make a special slot in the wall of the room.

● Packaged Air Conditioning:
It is used when you have to cool two or more rooms with a single system. This type of air conditioning can be used at upland areas to save the workload on installation of different air conditioners of different rooms.

●Central Air Conditioning:
It is used when the whole house is to be air conditioned with a single system. It has different vents for different rooms and it could become a bit costly.
