India is ready to witness the next big political battle in May 2014. The Lok Sabha elections have two prominent political parties face to face to compete against each other. Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Congress are prepared with their own set of poll strategies to campaign for the next big elections. BJP has named their next prime ministerial candidate as none other than Narendra Modi, while Congress is yet to announce it.

It was highly assumed that Rahul Gandhi would be the next face of Congress after Manmohan Singh. Things became clear after the speech delivered by Prime Minister in a press meet when he officially announced that the time for his retirement had come and that Rahul Gandhi would be the best person to perform the job after him. He even mentioned that Rahul Gandhi will handle a great responsibility in the 2014 polls.

As the Lok Sabha elections are approaching, the parties are getting ready for the big elections that are going to shape their future in the first half of the year. The country is encircled with various rallies and different campaigns that are taking place every now and then all over the country. BJP’s candidate Narendra Modi, who is also the present chief minister of Gujarat, is one of the most promising leaders of recent times. On the other hand, Rahul Gandhi, the vice president of Congress party is the youth icon of the nation.

As the days are nearing by, the campaigns and rallies from both the parties are increasing. Narendra Modi is very affluent in his speeches and draws impressive crowd every time he is on stage. In his every speech, he makes it a point to attack the Congress party. Every time Modi comes up on stage, people are glued on to his power-packed speeches delivered. BJP is very hopeful with the next elections and thus have constructed the work sheet beforehand for the perfect implementation. The prime area of concern is to develop the country in all respects with the help of Gujarat development model as framed by Narendra Modi. He is on his way to sell his developmental model to other states as well for overall advancement.

After the results of the assembly polls, Congress faced a massive loss in the states of Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Delhi. It was one of the lowest phases for the party in recent times, but now they seem to have revived themselves and are getting ready for the consecutive third elections in Lok Sabha elections. Rahul Gandhi, holding the prime ministerial candidature of the party, is focused with the entitlement agenda of Congress-led United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government, which includes rural jobs programme, right to education, food security and law and order. He also tends to focus on youth and women and conduct various programmes for their empowerment.

Apart from both these distinguished party, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has also enrolled its name in the race. The newly appointed Delhi Chief Minister is also marching ahead and planning to go national with the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections. AAP has their own set of principles and ideologies. The removal of corruption from the nation is the crucial one for them.
