How So Many People Have Got It Wrong About Taxi Driving
Submitted as: Well, actually it is nothing like that at all. Th
Well, actually it is nothing like that at all. This may help you to dispel those preconceptions...
The Myth of ‘Sitting Around All Day Long’.
You may not be aware of it, but being sat in a car for hours on end is not what it’s cracked up to be! In fact, it can be downright uncomfortable! You would be surprised at just how many minicab drivers develop back problems because of constantly being in the same position. Many cabbies will also suffer from migraine, fatigue or eyestrain because of constantly staring at the road.
Besides, have you ever thought how mind-numbing it can become when you are just driving to the same old places every day? There are only so many radio stations you can listen to! All in all, driving a taxi cab can often be stressful, boring and extremely tiring.
The Legend of ‘Easy Money’.
Yeah, right. Taxi drivers earn every penny of their wages. Many will work very long hours in some pretty demanding conditions. It’s not all relaxing ‘open road driving out’ there, you know! Most of a minicab driver’s time will be spent in queues of traffic and it can all become very frustrating.
Another ‘bonus’ of the job is when the weather gets a little on the warm side. Sitting in what is effectively a ‘greenhouse on wheels’ is certainly not the best way of staying cool! Modern vehicles may be fitted with air con, but you can’t sit with the engine running when you are between fares. Petrol is quite expensive you know...
The Fallacy Surrounding ‘Minimal Outlay’.
There are actually quite a few costs to consider when you are running a taxi business. To begin with, your vehicles will go through a colossal amount of tyres, clutches and brakes because of the sheer amount of miles they do.
Then there is comprehensive minicab insurance cover to pay for every year. This may not be the most expensive type of cover in the world, but it will certainly be more costly than the average driver’s standard car insurance! And don’t forget the other drivers in your employ; there are always wages to pay.
The Allegory of ‘Having Nothing to Do’.
Taxi drivers are always busy, even between jobs. If they are not ferrying passengers from one place to another, then there are plenty of other things to be done.
Paperwork must be filled in and long routes will need to be planned; whilst checking a car’s oil, water and tyre pressures is an ongoing concern. It’s true; some days may have fewer fares than others and yes, it can be very boring. But there will always be another newspaper to read.(read

How To Have A Star-studded Holiday
Submitted as: Having a holiday is an enjoyable experience as it
Having a holiday is an enjoyable experience as it is, but if you can go out ‘star spotting’ as well, then it can add an extra bit of fun to your time away!
Of course, certain areas of England will have a much larger ‘celeb percentage’ than others. After all, how many supermodels or movie stars will you come across in Bognor Regis; evening in its most ‘happening’ clubs? You are obviously going to see a lot of film or television personalities in or around London simply because it is home to so many different television channels and recording studios. However, our capital city certainly isn’t the only place that will to attract society’s ‘finest’.
Take Glastonbury for example. Not only is this small town world famous for its yearly festival, but it is also home to a surprising number of big names in the entertainment business. Guy Ritchie can often be seen doing his shopping at the local stores and don’t be surprised if you run into Nicholas Cage either; the star of ‘Captain Corelli’s Mandolin’ owns a property only a short distance away from the town. And if you are to sit in one of the cafes in Glastonbury whilst the festival is on, then who knows which singers may pop in for a brew?
Another area which seems to be a bit of a ‘celebrity magnet’ is Norfolk. This beautiful part of the country attracts thousands of visitors every year and it is also home to a number of famous faces. Many actors, actresses and musicians have owned Norfolk cottages over the years; Rick Wakeman’s home is in the South of Norfolk, David Gray kept in a property in Stiffkey and James Blunt’s family were once the owners of the Cley lighthouse!
Who knows, you may even get the opportunity to rub shoulders with royalty if you are staying in this part of the country! Prince Charles and Camilla Parker-Bowles make regular trips to Sandringham House so they are often seen out and about in Norfolk. There have also been ‘sightings’ of many actors and actresses over the years including the likes of; Keira Knightley, John Hurt, Gwyneth Paltrow, Roger Lloyd Pack and Maggie Smith (to name but a few!).
So, there is some food for thought if you are looking for a self catering holiday with a difference. You will obviously not want to spend the whole of your time away watching out for your favourite movies stars, but it can certainly add a very interesting element to your trip! Just imagine how strange it will be if Clint Eastwood, Lily Savage and Margaret Thatcher wander in for a fish and chip supper whilst you are having your meal! Hmmm, best pack some Rennies then.(read

Insist On Your Freedom When You Are Booking A Holiday
Submitted as: So why on earth would anyone want to go on a holid
So why on earth would anyone want to go on a holiday where they are tied down by set meal times??? This type of regimentation is the very last thing that you need!
The definition of freedom –
free dom
Spelled [free-duh m]
The power to exercise choice and to make decisions without constraint from within or without.
The whole purpose of a holiday is to have a welcome break and that means freedom to do what you want, when you want! So having to be up at a particular time for your breakfast is a pretty dumb idea. And exactly what will happen if you want to stay out late? Will you still be able to get back in the guest house or will they be locking the door at a certain time?
Rather than being made to feel welcome, a bed and breakfast establishment can actually make you feel like a naughty child! And this is one of the main reasons why so many people will rent out a holiday cottage for their time away. You can get up at whatever time you like and there will be no-one to give you a dirty look for getting back in after midnight. You are probably beginning to see why holiday cottages are such an appealing idea.
If you like the idea of renting a holiday property for your holiday break, then you will certainly have plenty of locations to choose from; there are Peak District cottages, seaside apartments and town houses to consider. In fact, there are hundreds of holiday homes for rental in just about any part of the country you care to mention!
Here are a few examples.
Cornwall
It is easy to see why Cornwall has always been such a popular holiday destination. It has some lovely beaches, some beautiful scenery and plenty of totally yummy ice creams and pasties (however, these should obviously not be eaten at the same time).
North Yorkshire
The rugged terrain of North Yorkshire is an absolute joy for walkers. There are numerous routes to choose from and you are sure to see many gorgeous sights along the way!
The Lake District
The Lakes are another super-popular destination for holidaymakers. This is a great place to go if you fancy something a little more tranquil.
Wales
Anyone with a love of history will thoroughly enjoy a stay in Wales. There are some wonderful towns and villages to visit and every one of these has its very own tale to tell.
Scotland
Why not pull wild mountain thyme on a trip to bonny Scotland? If enjoy staying in scenic areas then you will certainly not be disappointed... this is home to some of the most beautiful views in the world!(read

Marisol Rodriguez Basulto, P.A. practices family law, which involves the legal aspects of the relationships between husbands and wives, as well as other family relationships, including domestic partnerships.
In Florida, both parents have a duty to support their children during the marriage and after divorce. After divorce, an award of child support from one parent to the other enforces that duty. Marisol Rodriguez Basulto is an experienced Family Law, Child Custody, and Child Support FloridaM attorney practicing from the Miami Lakes office. Every child has the right to financial and medical support from both parents. Their goal is to assure families receive the child support they need and deserve. The services they provide include locating parents, establishing paternity, and establishing, enforcing and modifying support orders. Their services are available if a parent lives in another state or country. They do not establish or enforce visitation or custody. Child support is one of the most contentious issues in family law, and Florida child support issues are no exception. When dealing with Florida child support, it is best if you have a good Florida child support attorney to help you. But there are also some things which you can and need to know right up front about child support in Florida, and the Florida child support laws. While many people don't realize it, most state child support laws are fairly fixed, and they don't take into account such things as what your or your ex's actual child-related expenses are. They provide a number of services to families that need assistance with child support throughout Florida. They assist you with applying for court-ordered child support. You must have a child support order through the courts for child support payments to be a legal obligation. It is their goal to get both parents to agree to the amount of child support based on state guidelines that are in place to help determine appropriate amounts of child support. If you have any problem regarding a divorce matter, including child custody or support obligations, or with any other issue arising from a family relationship, then Marisol Rodriguez Basulto, P.A. is available for a consultation with one of their experienced family law attorneys.(read

Botox: The Quickest Way To Youthful Looking Skin
Submitted as: Botox injections can help reverse this effect by f
Botox injections can help reverse this effect by filling out the affected area and by blocking nerve signals to the brain which effectively freeze the muscle. The treatment is used regularly by men and women of all ages seeking a youthful complexion, and it has never been more affordable or popular.
Botox treatments involve a small number of tiny injections, and the whole process takes around 15 minutes to complete depending on the size of the area being treated. Improvements to the appearance of the skin are noticeable after a short period of time and the treatment can last for a few months before needing a ‘top up’. Botox practitioners should be trained in the procedure, and have a certificate of competence and relevant insurance, and it’s a good idea to find an experienced practitioner with a good reputation.
Botox is much less invasive than a full facelift and the results are immediate. And because it’s not a permanent treatment, other methods can be tried if it doesn’t work as expected. What’s more, the ease and speed of the treatment means that patients can carry on with normal activities almost straight away without taking time out of work, or dealing with bandages and other side effects.
Although Botox has been derived from the bacteria that causes botulism, it has been certified by drug authorities as being safe to use although a small amount of bruising or tenderness is normal. If it is used incorrectly or applied to infected or broken skin it can cause more harmful effects, and it has been suggested that prolonged use can weaken muscles and cause eyelids and eyebrows to droop.(read

Skin Peels: What You Need To Know
Submitted as: Chemical skin peels are popular exfoliation treatm
Chemical skin peels are popular exfoliation treatments which are used to improve the texture of facial skin that has been damaged by acne, age, spots and wrinkles. The treatment consists of the application of a chemical solution which causes the outer layers of dead skin to eventually peel off, leaving regenerated skin which is usually fresher, smoother, less wrinkled, more youthful, and free of lines, discolourations and blemishes.
Three types of skin peel are available. Light skin peels use Glycolic acid which is a mild chemical solution to remove the top layer of skin. Medium skin peels use stronger Trichloroacetic acids or TCAs which penetrate deeper into the skin to remove acne scars and small wrinkles., while deep skin peels use Carbolic acid to help reduce heavier scars and wrinkles.
Most skin peel treatments take around half an hour, but it may be longer depending on the treatment and the size of the affected area. Once the chemical peel is applied and the treatment area turns a whiteish colour, a saline compress is used to neutralise the acid before it is washed off. The skin may swell and some patients experience a mild burning sensation for up to an hour after the treatment, which increases in intensity depending on the type of skin peel used. A post peel cream is then applied, and 2-3 days later skin begins to peel, revealing glowing, fresh and healthy new skin underneath.
Facial skin peels can be used on all skin types and the chemicals used can be tailored to suit most skin types and conditions. However, skin peels are generally not recommended for patients with abnormal pigmentation, extensive scarring, Afro-Caribbean or Asian skin, or freckles and red hair. Fortunately, permanent scarring is a very rare risk, although the burning sensation can sometimes last longer than expected.(read
