Plants Increases Your Life Span
I came across this piece of news recently and it caught my attention instantly. The lucky women with green surroundings have 12% more chances of reduced death rates as compared to the ones who have no form of greenery as in plants, trees or vegetation. Women living near areas with the most vegetation had a 41 % lower death rate from kidney diseases, a 34 percent lower death from respiratory diseases and a 13% lower death rate from cancer, compared with women living in areas with the least vegetation, the study found. (This study was carried between 2004-2008, with a group of ladies living in the US).
There are ample of reasons as to why living between a lot of greenery and vegetation leads to longer life. Lots of plants and plantations lead to more physical activities and social gatherings. This kind of healthy living results in lower depression, stress levels etc. As being close to nature, brain provides positivity and relaxation to the nerves, which results in releasing positive hormones, which are good for the health of the body.
