Origin Of Ayurvedic Treatment In India

ORIGIN OF AYURVEDIC TREATMENT IN INDIA
The term Ayurveda is a Sanskrit word that comes from the amalgamation of two words, "Ayush" meaning life and "Veda" meaning knowledge. Ayurveda refers to "Knowledge about Life" it is a 3000-year-old science that first occurred in India. Current regions of North like India, Pakistan, Nepal, Barma, Tibet and some parts of Bangladesh. The components and concept of Ayurveda are embedded in Vedas. Ayurveda considered as the one of the Upveda of ‘Adharva Veda’.
Ayurveda is an ancient medical science which evolved in India thousands of years ago. It is a discipline which is believed to have been passed on to humans by the Gods themselves. ‘Dhwanathiri’ considered as the God who gifted Ayurveda to humans for their health. In the Ayurvedic literature, it is stated that Ayurveda was not created, it was ‘BRAMHA SMRITHWA AYURVEDA who is also believed to be Brahma who recollected and compiled ayurvedic science. Ayurvedic Medicine is the world's oldest wide-ranging health care system and is home-grown to India where it is widely practised. This ancient art of healing asserts ...
... that the science, philosophy and spirituality are all necessary aspects of healthy living. Thus Ayurvedic treatment in India is considered not only a comprehensive medical system but also a way of living and the very idea of mind, body and spirit originated from Ayurveda.
It is suggested to have been originated in Vedic time, ancient universities were the main hub of education in the then Hindustan which further promoted Ayurveda. Buddhism and Jainism have aided the process of spreading it all over the world; many saints spread the discipline of Ayurveda to South India, Sri Lanka, Indonesia and much more. But one should not forget to mention one thing that due to the doctrine of Ahimsa in Buddhism and Jainism, surgical knowledge in the Ayurveda almost lost it's most techniques of the herbal treatment process.
The major reason behind the invention of Ayurveda was that in the Vedic time people are preferred the practice of ‘yaga’ for a purpose like to get a blessing from God, nature was also considered a cure for a disease, but the process was very expensive and most of the people didn’t afford it. All are not rich to involve in Yaga and all are not allowed also because of the stratified nature of the society. This situation asked for a necessary situation to design a treatment protocol within Ayurveda which is effective as well as cost-effective, even ordinary people can use. Our ‘Acharya’ are believed to be simply free from all the negative energy from the earth, no intention to cheat others, not want to get any profit from anyone. They saw all the people as one, not based on community system. It’s believed that due to this Ayurveda still exists, mainly due to their kindness and truthfulness in the heart.
Ayurveda is believed to have eight different branches with different significance. The Branches in Ayurveda are emerged from classical Sanskrit literature, in which Ayurveda was called "the science of eight branches". The components are:
1.Kayachikitsa
2.Kaumāra-bhṛtya and Bala Roga
3.Shalya Tantra
4.Śālākya-tantra
5.Bhuta-Vidya
6.Agada-Tantra
7.Rasayana-tantra
8.Vajikarana Tantra
