Is NID the best college??
Just like you, we too have been searching and scouring the Internet to find out the ivy league college for studying design. Often times, students are not ready to make career choices in architecture and design. They feel it is something that those students who do not get admission in the engineering colleges go for these architecture or similar courses. We would like to clarify our position here that we do not want to down play any particular career here. Both have their own plus and minus points.
If your forte is in designing or creating plans and architectures of buildings or if ancient structures mesmerize you, then B.Arch is your calling.

B.Des is however an interesting career choice.
It includes the following specializations:
• Fashion Design
• Textile Design
• Fashion and lifestyle accessory Design (Aka Industrial Design)
• Leather Design
• Knitwear Design
• And also Fashion Communication which is an amalgamation of graphics, journalism, Visual merchandising etc,

To find out what interests you the most, I think a ...
... further study of the course structure and its future
Career option is highly advisable.

To study these, NID or National Institute of Design is arguably the most reputed institute. Its brand name is recognized all across the country.
Other than this, NIFT or National Institute of Fashion Technology located in Hauzkhas is the second best college for students interested in this area.
Mind you however, the entry into the Ivy League college are tough to get into and you need to be prepared for entrance tests and the whole admission process.

There are some coaching classes that help you prepare for the entrance exams as well.

Whether you need to get a coaching class to get practice on the entrance or you can handle this yourself is a choice you can take. It all depends on your skills and your ability.

If you have your own list of top colleges that you suggest, please share the same in the comments section of the website blog.
