HOW TO CREATE FILTERS IN YAHOO???

Well, talking about filters, we all receive lots of emails every day. Organizing them in prioritizing manner, which one needs our attentions first, are the work of the filters. Yahoo mails have a built in filtering system that allows you to automatically separate incoming mails into corresponding folder that has a high priority. At the same time you also have a facility provided by yahoo that you can put unsolicited emails to a junk or spam folder. This will really help you and will make your life easier, especially if you get hundreds of emails in a day.

HOW TO CREATE YAHOO MAIL FILTERS???

Step1.Login to your Yahoo mail Account.

Step2. Create a new folder. On the left panel of the screen, you can find a “Folders” menu, click on it and it will show all your current folders. Click on the icon beside it to create new folder.

Step1. Go to “settings”. There is the icon named as settings on the right side corner. Click it and choose “settings”.

Step3. View existing filters. The filter screen will display all your current filters. Click on one to see what rules are built inside filters.

Step4. Add a filter. Click on add button found on top.

Step5. Name the filter. Put a unique name to that filter that will be short as well as descriptive.

Part3. Configuring Filters.
Step1. Set the filters rules. Define the term that filter will looking for. Parameters that can be set include the following.
1. Sender
2. Recipient
3. Subject
4. Email body.

Step2. Identify the destination folder. This is the folder where emails that pass the filters rules will go. Select the set folder from drop down list.

Step3. Save your changes that you have done. Click on the save button once you are done with.

Step4. Create filters in yahoo mail. Repeat steps to create additional filters. But one thing you will make sure about that these filters complement, not contradict, one another.

Step5. Sort all filters. Use up and down arrow icons to sort your filters.

Step4. Change the sender rule. The first rule is for the sender. Do it accordingly.

Step6. Change the subject rule. The third rule is for the subject.

Step7. Change the email body rule. Last rule is for email body.

Step8. Change the destination folder. It will fix up the destination.

Step9. Save the filter. Click on the save button to save the changes you have made.

DELETING YAHOO FILTERS.

Step1. Select a filter. From the list select a filter which you want to remove/delete.

Step2. Delete/ remove a filter. Click on remove button to delete a filter.
