Railway Engineering: Indian Railways have always fascinated him ever since childhood. Strangely, the childhood (and Childlike) interest in Railways kept growing with age and assumed a wider proportion in terms of learning. His current passion in Railways concerns procuring knowledge of working and operating of the vast system of Indian Railways.
This also involves a large part of Railway engineering as applied to Indian Railways. This passion has been growing steadily with the passage of time, particularly because of his association with many likeminded people in his city as well as all over the country (on the net), who have been able to share this passion rather intently. This has now become a large movement all over India and will probably achieve a massive proportion in the future.
Music: This has always been his first love. He fancied Film Music and the local Pop in the earlier times. But ever since he was exposed to Indian Classical Music (at the age of 22 years) Dr. Yande developed serious interest in this aspect of music. He admits that music has transformed his life in some way, when he became more involved ...

Today, when he looks back, Dr Yande finds that his involvement in the Indian Classical Music was a prominent landmark in his life. This interest changed him from inside in a way one cannot describe. He also believes that if India has anything to give to this world, it is its Classical Music in its pure form, with all the philosophy and its sublime meditative spirits.

His recent interest in Western Classical Music has grown purely out of his pursuit to gain wider exposure to the music of the world. He believes that every type of music has something special for all humans. He also feels that the Western Classical Music has an amazing feature of mathematical perfectness and has probably the most researched kind of music, this world has seen.
