The Ram Krishna Dharmarth Foundation (RKDF) University which is situated in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh is a higher educational institute that offers courses in various disciplines. The university has a matrix of institutions in the areas of engineering, education, management, hotel management, dental & nursing, pharmacy, and homeopathy. The university promotes access to education for all. The university believes that apart from imparting teaching through class lectures, the students should be encouraged to participate in other co-curricular activities also so that they can develop the overall personality. By doing so, they can imbibe the skills required to face the practical challenges of their professional life.

Samagam 2017:

RKDF University is going to organize the annual festival at its campus on 27th, 28th and 29th April 2017. The theme of the annual festival this year is 'Scripting the Future'. ... can interact with each other and learn to co-ordinate with each other. This interdisciplinary approach will help them to get to work as a team and how to bring up a productive outcome as a team.

Exposures to different events:

There are two prospects in which the students will be engaged. One is the co-ordinators and the second is the participants. The coordinators will get an opportunity to enhance their skills of management and operations while the participants will get a chance to showcase their talents and abilities and to enrich them further.

There will be various events in the annual fest that are bifurcated into multiple sections in which not only the college students can participate but also the students from other colleges can also take part. Some of the events are listed below:

1) State Level Competitions-

The competitions under this category will be of state level. The competitors can compete in various event like-
Essay Writing- In this event, a random topic will be given to the participants, and the participants have to write an essay within the prescribed word limit and time limit.
Treasure Hunt- In this event, the participants will be divided into groups and will be given the field tasks to perform by clues.
T-Shirt Painting- In this, the participants have to paint the T-shirt using various colors within the time limit.
Paper Presentation- The participants need to present the research paper on any topic of recent developments.

2) Techno-cultural-Literary Events-

In this section, the participant can participate in various cultural events like Rangoli, Mehendi, Ramp walk, Drama and Skit and Model Making. Also, there will be some technical events like LAN gaming. The students can also avail the chance to participate in the events like Extempore, Debate, and Quiz.

3) Carnival Events-

In this event section, the students can participate in the events like Dancing, Singing, Qawali and Face Painting. Carnival Events are the most preferred and fun to watch events by the students.

The extra-curricular activities are an important part of a students college life. They get to learn a lot of things from it, and along with that the burden of studies also reduces.
