Post your Hair Transplantation, here are the 5 most important tips that your must follow to take good care of your hair:
1. Avoid physical activities and stop drinking:
It's better to avoid tiring exercises upon your hair transplantation surgery because sweating raises the risk of infection to a large extent. Also avoid steam and sauna, spending more time in the sun, etc. Stop drinking! Alcohol intervenes the blood to head, hence strictly so no to alcohol. It also acts as a blood thinner, consequently enhancing the propensity to bleed. And if you are a smoker, stop smoking at least for a month.
2. Do not disrupt the grafts right away:
After your transplantation is done, the minimum time period to wash your hair is 48 hours. Do not hastily go and wash your hair, follow the advice of your physician. After completing 48 hours, then you can slowly start cleaning your hair with a shampoo and water. It's great if your use only moderately warm water to rinse your hair. 4. Take care of your diet:
Post your surgery, the recovery process takes time, be patient and get suggestions from your doctor on what to eat and what not. Taking good care of your diet, results in quick healing. Avoid eating spicy foods. Indian's cannot control their desire for spicy dishes. Eating spicy food items intervene the healing process of your hair.
5. Sleep in Semi-upright position:
Sleep in semi-upright position and make sure you have two pillows under your head. This sleeping position avoids excess scalp swelling. If you have a reclining chair, try to sleep on it and keep your head elevated. If the grafts we instilled in lower crown, sleep on one-side for at least the first 2 nights so that you will not disrupt the hair growth and it avoids the grafts to fall off when they gets rubbed in sleep to the pillow.
