A New Study Shows That Teens No Longer Use Marijuana Legalization
Seattle - Washington State Healthy Youth Research show annual use cannabis among teens has been paralyzed for the past 10 years, although the remainder of marijuana legalization.
Social scientists say it is good news, but that does not mean that work is done by parents as well as other trends in forward research.
"Heaven and is not included in the only thing that encouraging," said Kevin Haggerty, an assistant professor at the University of Washington School of Social Work. Haggerty said the 2016 Ministry of Health figures are encouraging, but not impressive.
"We have seen a large decline in alcohol, we have seen a large decline in smoking, we have seen a decrease in E-cigarette, we do not see a fall, a significant decline in marijuana," he said.
The survey found that more than 230,000 students, 26 percent of the 12 graders reported marijuana use in the past 30 days, 6 percent of eighth grade students and 17 percent of 10th grade.
It may come as a surprise to those who oppose I-502, a plan that pot, cannabis ...
... use will increase availability and feared legally vote for teenagers. Studies show that when youngsters get marijuana changed only
in the last two years.
"People who received marijuana last month, trade buying declined among 8th grade students in 2014-2016 (from 11 percent to 5 percent) and 10 students (from 9 percent to 6 percent)," the study said. ,
He did not say how teens can buy licensed marijuana stores, but probably a fake ID or parents buy it for them. But again, the part that fell.
"Parents really need to establish clear guidelines on substance abuse, particularly marijuana and alcohol use is their home country," Haggerty said. "Monitor to make sure your kids are a result of this and create the impression of a consistent and fair."
Studies have shown a 5 percent decline in the perception of "high-risk cannabis in common use" among the eighth grade students in question. He said the increased use of generally follow a decrease in the level of risk. "
I totally understand that marijuana is potentially addictive. There's no question, "said Haggerty. One of the most common reasons why people go for the treatment of marijuana dependence. Marijuana is an addictive substance. "
Haggerty said, they did not seem to use the number of youths exposed to marijuana parents at home.
"Parents used it, it is used more often," he said. "An interesting thing that we do not know what will happen to modeling parents can do in years later, children were 6, 7, and parents in a house in the past."
He said a study in 2026 found a better understanding of the effects.
"It's like spilling a glass of wine with dinner, it normalizes the experience, and the more it normalizes the behavior, the more we see the children imitate the
aging behavior."
