The next part is cleaning where your dentist thoroughly clean and enlarge the root canal for the filament. After the filling, a crown or cap is places over your tooth to prevent it from fracturing. This crown is usually made up of metal or porcelain and it is very hard to break.
The whole root canal process is quite long and it takes several sittings (normally 3) of 2 hours each to finish. The more roots a tooth has the longer it takes time to complete.
