1. Needles are inserted: The needle is held at an angle of 15-90 degree from patient’s skin. The ways of needle insertion also differs, that can be explained further:

1. Using both hands- one hand is used to stretch the patient’s skin while the other is used to penetrate the needle inside.

2. Through a guiding pipe- another method of inserting a needle is using a guiding pipe. The needle is first put inside a pipe and then the pipe is placed on the area where needle has to be inserted. Then the acupuncturist pushes the handle of the needle from behind so that it penetrates inside the skin. After the needle has been inserted ...
... the pipe is removed. This guiding pipe is used to ensure that the needle doesn’t gets inserted on a wrong point.

2. The needles are left for a small amount of time so that they show some movement. This movement generally results from flow of Qi through meridians. The quicker the needles move the more effective the therapy is. It is like finding blood vessels for injecting.

3. Then the needles are manipulated manually or by passing electro-magnetic waves through them.

4. After the manipulation the needles are again left for some time and then they are removed.

This process is repeated till many sittings until the patient starts to experience an improvement in his condition. This procedure is minimally painful and creates quick results and hence more and more patients are getting attracted towards acupuncture treatment in Delhi.
