Wireshark Training

Wireshark is an open source packet analyzer that is free. It is used for education, software development, analysis, network troubleshooting and communication protocol development. Trademark issues made it change the name from Ethereal to Wireshark in the year 2006.
In current releases, Wireshark uses the Qt widget toolkit which helps it to implement its user interface. To capture packets, it uses pcap and runs on Solaris, Linux, BSD, macOS, Microsoft Windows and other operating systems like UNIX. Its terminal based non GUI version is TShark. The GNU General Public License makes Wireshark and TShark to be available as free software. If a program’s network traffic seems suspicious, it can be inspected by Wireshark and iWireshark is used to analyze the traffic flow of one’s network. Network problems can be effectively countered by Wireshark and it can run on different platforms.
