The organization faces several issues that would influence the practices of human resources. The BA uses different approaches for fighting against this issue which has critical impacts on the practices of human resources:
Diverse workforce: In the current scenario, organizations are going globally which creates the problems on ground of demographic differences and trust of the employees towards the organization. The impacts of diverse workforce can be positive and negative . The positive is that the organization can handle every type of customer from any region or religion because they have every type of workforce but the negative impacts is that the trust can’t be build between the management and staff as it has seen that white male earns trust more proportionately than non white males which leads to increase turnover in BA organization.

... websites which keep them updated for the new offerings and discounts etc. With that the British Airways would able to grab the market globally and can earn the targeted profits. The only expense would be that the management needs to provide the training and education to the employees. Firstly the problems would be created like investment in technologies and many time employees are not instantly ready to assist the change.
The other impact would be on human resource practice aging workforce, E-recruitment, loyalty, increase in female staff, disable workers, low learners etc. which affects the growth of the BA organizations.
Comparison of the performance management methods
The organization uses different methods for measuring the performances of the employees. Performance evaluation is necessary for knowing the productivity and growth of the employees whether they are meeting the benchmarking standards set by the organizations. By evaluating the performance, management would know the requirement of training and development sessions for the employees. The most common methods used by British Airways:
Ranking method- It is the most common method for monitoring the performances of the employees. The BA collects the feedbacks from the customers through mails or telephones on the several points like services, behavior and communication of employees and delivering necessary information. After that the HR manager ranks the employee’s performance on the basis of feedback.
Management by objective- This method is joint target setting method where the superior and sub ordinate jointly determine the goals and define the individual responsibility for the desired results. The result of the method is pre determined by contribution of each member.
360 degree feedback- This is the modern method for measuring the performance of the individual employees. The human resources manager collects the feedback from everywhere no one left in this process. The people involved in this are boss, team members, customer, staff, self, peers. Manager collects feedback on the functioning, behavior and services of the employees towards everyone. It also take care on important issues like delivery of services on time and proper communication is done to ensure quality services helps in measuring the performances of the employees of BA.
