2.Mixture of baking soda and vinegar: This is again the most widely used method to unclog the drains. All you need to do is to mix approx 1/3 cup of baking soda and 1/3 cup of vinegar in a mug and pour it immediately in the clogged drain. The mixture fizzes readily and this helps in removing the accumulated dirt from the drains.
3.Using the Vacuum: Though this is not a very much effective method to unclog the drains but this works well in about fifty percent of the cases. The simplest way of doing it is to set the vacuum equipment on the clogged drain and turn it on with liquid vacuum settings. Usually the clogged material is withdrawn from the drain easily with the help of the vacuum.
4.Boiling Water: In case you are unable to adopt any of the above ideas then it is the most basic trick that works well in normal conditions. You have to boil about 2/3 liters of water and pour it down the drain for removing the blockage from the drain.
5.Caustic Soda: This is helpful in cleaning the drains but shall be used with precautions. Add 3 to 4 cups of caustic soda in half bucket of cold water. The mix it well and pour it into the clogged drain. After 15/20 minutes pour boiling water in the drain and repeat if required.
