Pakistan released 218 Indian fishermen on Thursday. this can be a quite routine in part of the globe when fishermen from Asian country cross over Pakistani waters and vice versa.

But one thing attention-grabbing happened this point. One little gesture by a Pakistani police officer has got social media on either side of the border talking.

His selfie with many Indian fisher celebrating their unharness, has taken the social media by storm. it’s become a web sensation and has been lined by new portals across the border.

As the fishermen were being released to trip Lahore via the Cantonment railway station Karachi, a police officer took a selfie, with many fishermen waving hands behind him. the image of the scenes of jubilation being witnessed square measure enough to bring a smile to everyone’s face.

The picture in question is being actively shared by Pakistanis and Indians, and it’s wide lauded as a positive gesture shown by the Pakistani police officer.

Social media users are calling it “Selfie Diplomacy Pakistan-India”, named once the illustrious cricket diplomacy throughout the 80s.

... and Facebook users are taking this incident positively. Even Indian People and Bloggers have recognized this as a good sign for both countries.

“They are being released by the orders of the federal government,” said Ali Hassan Setho, a superintendent of Police in Karachi.

Edhi officers say that every trained worker was given Rs. five hundred and gifts before their journey to Lahore.

It is conjointly value mentioning here that this is the second such gesture by the Islamic Republic of Pakistan government in mere fortnight. Islamic Republic of Pakistan conjointly free 220 trained worker at Quaid-e-Azam’s Birthday (25th December 2016). Pakistani government expects that the release of those fishermen can ease the tensions across borders and Indian government can reciprocate this action.
