JEE Main 2017 is an engineering entrance examination which is conducted every year for the engineering aspirants. The examination can get admission into undergraduate courses in IITs, NITs and some other imperial institutes. The candidates who clear JEE Mains will be eligible to appear for jee advanced 2017.

The candidates should have a score of 50% aggregate in physics, chemistry and mathematics
The candidates should have 5 subjects in the secondary qualifying examination
The canidate can appear for JEE for 3 attempts only
Diploma holders of 3 years are also eligible to apply for the examination

There are some preparation tips which can be followed so as to improve the preparation of JEE Main-
Class XI and XII topics are generally covered in the examination
An appropriate coaching institute must be joined by the candidates so that higher level questions of all the topics asked in the syllabus can be solved
A well timed study plan should be maintained and allot time to all topics
Specific books should be referred for the topics. NCERT books are recommended as the concepts are eplained clearly in the book.
Some refreshment time should be taken in between study hours and then continue studying with a fresh mind
Attempt as many sample papers as possible and time them so that the speed to attempt the question paper increases
A formula sheet as well as key points should be prepared for last moment revision so that all the important points stay in the back of the mind. 5 minutes should be dedicated to the formulas for the previous topic before starting with a new one.
Discussions should be held with aspirants and mentors so that the weaknesses can be overcome and accordingly a study plan should be devised by the candidates.

SYLLABUS OF MATHEMATICS-
Some important topics asked in the exam include integration, matrices and determinants, probablity and statistics, applicatin of derivatives, vector algebra, 3-D geometry, sequence and series and complex numbers.

Co-ordinate geometry and trigonometry by S.L. Loney, A DasGupta’s book for the practice of subjective and objective questions, a book by GN Berman to practice calculus and books of Arihant for algebra and the book by Thomas and Finney for calculus
