Transformers are the electrical devices which are used to change the voltage of the power supplied to meet the demand of the electricity consumers. This device has more turns on the secondary winding than on the primary winding. It is widely used in converting low voltage and high current power into the high voltage. Thus, the voltage supplied is now equally distributed by using the device. For instance, an X-ray machine needs more voltage to run, but the supply required is lower than the actual supply. The transformer is used to provide high voltage to run the machine. They are also used as the step-down transformers at the time of the crisis.
