Classified Ad Sites - Just What Are They?

One of the original uses of the Internet way back in its beginning was as an online classified ad section, just like what you would find in the back of your local newspaper. This use has continued to grow and evolve along with the rest of the Internet into the dynamic resource that is available today.

One popular site for classified ads is http://www.myadvert.org/.

Each of these classified ad sites has general categories to allow you to find what you are looking for faster. Then each of the general categories has sub-categories that get even more specific results. Here is a list of some of the categories.

Community

In the community sections you can generally find out about happenings in your local community. It might include notices about fund raising events, local theater productions, community garage sales, or any type of public meeting.

Sales

Item sales sections are like walking into a huge on-line garage sale except that everything ...
... is neatly arranged by state, city and type of item. You can also use the search option to easily find the exact item that you are seeking or you can simply browse through the ads to see if something catches your eye.

Since these classified ads are usually free youll find a huge variety of stuff that people list. my advert

Housing

Are you looking for a new house to rent? Then this category is for you. Here is where youll find houses, apartments, condos and rooms for rent. Often these include pictures to let you get a quick idea about what is being offered.

Gigs/Jobs/Services

These three categories are flip sides of the same coin. They are for people who are looking for work and those that are looking for workers. Each one has more specific sub-categories to help you with finding exactly what youre seeking.

Personals

This title pretty much says it all. It is a section devoted to people who want to meet other people.

The Cost

The best part is that the ads are all generally free so you can also use them to post your own ad to sell the stuff that has been sitting around your garage or attic just gathering dust. The sites make their money when people want to have their ad featured or decide they need it to run longer than the normal 100 days.

Posting an ad is a cinch. You are directed to a very basic HTML editor where you can give your ad a little extra sizzle or simply type in your information.

Most of these sites let you upload some pictures to include with your ad so you can show what youre selling and make it easier for potential buyers to see if your item is something that they may need.

The site, http://www.myadvert.org/, is an extremely easy to use, easy to search place to find or place classified ads like those listed above. Check it out and see what it can do for you!
