Bone Grafting is the process of adding bone to a part of the mouth where it is missing. It can be used in any area of the mouth where it is needed. When adding it to a patient's mouth, the dentist will use one of 4 types of bone: Autograft, Allograft, Xenograft, Alloplastic graft. Autograft bone belongs to the patient receiving it. Allograft bone refers to a donor and alloplastic are synthetic substitutes and Xenograft refers to taking bone from animal’s body. The dentist may use a combination of the above as well. This is a difficult process which is approved under local anesthetic, which freezes the area, safeguarding no embarrassment as the process is performed. It is a safe and successful process which is carried out by oral surgeons on a daily basis. Once the procedure is completed, the patient will require antibiotics, escaping infection.

Types of Bone Grafting:

Autograft:

Grafts for this method are taken from individual's own body. It is removed from either the hip or the mouth of the patient and attached on to the place of the implant or where the bone depth and width is very low. As the bone taken ...
... is the patient's own the compatibility is high and risk of rejection is low. Best consequences with the greatest bone regeneration occur through this process.

Allograft:

If for some purpose you are appropriate applicant for Autografts then Allografts are done. In this method bone is harvested from other human givers and grafted into your mouth. For this a lots of tests are run to equal for compatibility and also, the donor does not have any infectious diseases.

Xenograft:

In this method bone is taken from animal’s body. The animal bone goes through numerous procedures to make it compatible for humans and grafted onto the implant site. Above the time your body will replace this with natural bone.

Alloplastic Graft:

These are man-made bone. Passive and artificial ingredients are used to create artificial bone. This bone over time becomes the background for natural bone to form over. Sometimes the imitation absorb-able bone is places which over time get absorbed and body’s own natural bone substitutes it.

Bone grafting treatment the valuable treatment for all those individual whose bone density is too low to screw a dental implant in jaw bone. Without bone grafting treatment there is less chances in success of dental implant treatment.
