Gaining high metabolic rate is nothing but increasing your calorie burning power. It is the amount of energy your body burns out in order to sustain. The rate at which you gain weight is all dependent on your metabolic rate. It is like a yoyo, you swing it down it increases weight, you swing it up it brings down weight by cutting down on calories. If you have gained extra pounds of weight, your system will have to work harder in order to remain energetic and perform tasks. This is precisely why you can see fat people getting exhausted very soon.

On the contrary, your system will require lesser calories to sustain itself if you are lean. Some are blessed with a good calorie burning power. It is inherited in them. And for those less fortunate ones, you can try out exercise and bring about smaller changes in your diet.

This is considered excess and adds on to your weight, as these calories are not burnt. Bank on to low carb diet! Low-carb diets limit carbohydrates - for example, bread, grains, rice, starchy vegetables and fruit - and emphasize sources of protein and fat. Many types of low-carb diets exist, each with varying restrictions on the types and amounts of carbohydrates. Examples of low-carb diets include Atkins diet, Zone diet and Protein Power. Low-carb diets are generally used to lose weight. You might choose this type of diet because you enjoy the types and amounts of food featured in the diet. Or, you may believe that a low-carb diet will help you lose weight quickly and easily.
