A New Zealand Visa gives you the same rights and privileges as your Resident Visa however, the travel conditions never expire so you can come and go as you like. This is where the word ‘permanent’ of the Permanent Resident Visa refers to. As you can see it has nothing to do with staying permanently in New Zealand. You are allowed to stay permanently in NZ on both visas. It has to do with permanently being able to exit and re-enter the country as a Resident.
If you have specialist skills or work in an area of skills shortage, and have a qualification that is comparable to those that New Zealand employers are used to, you’ll find that there are great career opportunities for you here. For more information visit the Work in NZ section, which covers skill shortage areas, industry profiles, tips on job hunting and more.

If you apply for residence from inside NZ while on a temporary permit or visa, and your application is granted, you will be issued with a Residence Permit. If you applied from overseas, you will be issued with a Residence Visa; this allows you to enter New Zealand and to be granted a Residence Permit ...
... when you arrive.

Temporary Resident Visa NZ allows you to live and work in New Zealand for a set period of time. Working temporarily can be used as a step towards gaining residence and settling here permanently. There are a range of work visas for people that work in a profession that is experiencing skill shortages or have a job offer from a New Zealand employer.

A permanent visa allows its holder to live in Australia indefinitely, with access to certain Government benefits and services as a permanent resident. A temporary visa generally allows its holder to remain in Australia for a limited period of time, or a specific purpose. This type of visa often has visa conditions that limit such things as work or study rights. For more information visit the site http://www.universalemigration.co.nz/
